Zhaojun Li (Assistant Professor)
Material scientist with an interest in organic and 2-dimensional semiconducting materials for next-generation thin-film optoelectronic applications and experience in organic synthesis, 2d material exfoliation, optical spectroscopy and optoelectronic device fabrication.
I obtained my PhD from Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden (2018), and later spent 3 years at the Cavendish Laboratory, University of Cambridge (UK) as a postdoctoral researcher. In 2023, I joined the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Uppsala University, as an independent researcher and am forming my research group.
Deepa Thakur (Postdoc)
Research Interest: 2D materials, Raman Spectroscopy, Electron microscopy, Optoelectronics, Photocatalysis, Defect engineering, Photoluminescence, Thin films, Nanomaterials synthesis, Chemical vapor deposition, Solution synthesis, Transition metals dichalcogenides.
I obtained my PhD from Indian Institute of Technology Mandi, India. There I worked with Spectroscopic and Microscopic Investigations of CVD Grown 2D Materials and Heterostructures for Light Driven Applications. In early 2024, I joined Dr. Zhaojun Li’s group as a postdoc to develop high-quality 2D semiconducting material for sustainable LEDs.
Jiaxin Guo (Ph.D. Student)
Research Interests: 2D Materials, Raman Spectroscopy, Electron Microscopy, Optoelectronics, Photocatalysis, Organic Synthesis.
I obtained my bachelor’s degree from Nankai University in China in 2021 and subsequently completed a master’s degree there, focusing on the synthesis of organic active layers in organic solar cells. In September 2024, I joined Dr. Zhaojun Li’s research group as a PhD student, where I am studying the defect physics in 2D quantum materials.
